Lucy Engel (Graves) Taliaferro was born in Cleveland, Ohio on July 25, 1895. She graduated from Goucher College (A.B., 1917), and Johns Hopkins University (Sc.D., 1925). Lucy Graves Taliaferro married William Hay Taliaferro on June 6, 1919. William Taliaferro became Professor of Parasitology in 1924.
